ACCESS STATEMENT FOR TREVEAN CARAVAN & CAMPING PARK
INTRODUCTION
We hope that all visitors to Trevean are able to enjoy what we have to offer. We will endeavour to help in any way we can and provide assistance wherever possible during your stay. If any further information is required in planning your visit we will be only too pleased to assist. We are accessible directly by car or taxi. Our nearest airport is Newquay. Trains run to Bodmin or Newquay. Buses run to St Merryn.
Trevean currently offers the following:
PRE-ARRIVAL
Static caravan holidays. Season pitches and winter storage for touring caravans. Pitches for touring caravans, motor homes and tents.
ARRIVAL AND CAR PARKING FACILITIES
There are hardcore car-parking areas alongside each static caravan, outside reception and at the arrivals parking area. Grass parking on each pitch. All facilities are clearly signed.
MAIN ENTRANCE, RECEPTION & SHOP
Reception can be found in the new cabin and is clearly signed. Level concrete area immediately outside reception. One step into reception of 10cm rise, with the door threshold being 19cm high. Reception door is 90cm wide with handle fastening. The Shop is located within reception. Should you need assistance in accessing reception please let us know.
PUBLIC AREAS – GENERAL
Hardcore track leading to static caravans has slight slope. Tracks leading to all pitches are hardcore and level. A paved pathway links the touring and camping fields. This is 85cm wide. Picnic benches are provided in 1 field only. Rubbish and recycling wheelie bins are provided beside shower block on a level concrete area. EV point located on concrete area in first field.
PUBLIC AREAS – SHOWER AND TOILET BLOCK
The park has 1 shower/toilet block located at the front of the first touring/camping field. Shower/toilet block provides a room with level entry shower, toilet and washbasin, all with grab rails, and transfer bench. There is a pull cord alarm which will ring and a light will flash outside should anyone need assistance. The light will come on automatically when a person enters and switch off when you exit. Baby changing table provided at 90cm height. 4 separate temporary portable toilets are provided during the peak time.
DISH WASHING
Parking available outside on concrete area. Located at the front of Toilet Block. Ramped access. Doorway to room is 1.37m wide. Sinks are 93cm off ground. Gap to access separate wetsuit wash is 85cm wide.
LAUNDRY
Laundry room is accessed through the Dish Wash Area. One small step of 3cm height to enter. Door width is 76cm. One front loading washing machine and one front loading tumble dryer are provided in the laundry. Clothes wash sink is 91cm off ground. Iron and adjustable ironing board provided.
LEISURE FACILITIES/OUTDOOR FACILITIES
Picnic benches and a garden bench are provided in the second field alongside the children’s play area. Our play area is situated in the centre of the second field and consists of wooden frame with various bridges and access points, slide, swings, swing with child seat, rockers and play tractor. A garden bench is provided inside the play area. The entire area is surfaced with sand and fenced off, accessed by 2 openings of 93cm wide and 2 steps into one entrance of 12.5cm rise and 1 step of 12.5cm rise at other entrance. A garden bench is provided outside the laundry room. Beyond the second field is a recreational area of approximately 4 acres. It is accessed by an opening of 1.4m wide. There is free WiFi across the site.
TOURING AND CAMPING
All pitches are level and grassy. Water taps are located at various points around the park. Waste water disposal point is located outside shower block. Chemical toilet facility has step of 5cm height on entry, and is located adjoining shower/toilet block. Concrete drive in motor vehicle waste water disposal point is located in the first field.
STATIC CARAVANS
The Meadow: Parking adjacent to caravan on hardcore. 2 steps to entrance door of 20cm rise x 30cm deep x 1m wide. Top lip 14cm rise. Hand rail to your left. Entry door is 77cm wide. Internal layout is level with no steps except to enter the shower which is 16cm high. Sliding door entry is 39cm wide. Internal doors are 50cm wide. Digital television is provided. USB point in kitchen.
Middle Park: Parking adjacent to caravan on hardcore. 2 steps to entrance door of 20cm rise x 30cm deep x 1m wide. Top lip 20cm rise. Hand rail to your left. Entry door is 75cm wide. Internal layout is level with no steps except to enter the shower which is 15cm high. Shower door is 61cm wide, with inward opening bi-fold door. Internal doors are 48cm wide. Digital television is provided with DVD and card reader.
Seven Acres: Parking adjacent to caravan on hardcore 2 steps to entrance door of 20cm rise x 30cm deep x 1m wide. Top lip 17cm rise. Hand rail to your right. Entry doors are 77cm wide. Internal layout is level with no steps except to enter the shower which is 17cm high. Sliding door entry is 49cm wide Internal doors are 50cm wide. Doorway opening into main double bedroom 45cm wide. Digital television is provided. USB points throughout.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The park is open from Easter/1st April – End October. Outside of peak times the Reception may not be manned but staff can be contacted on 01841520772. Arrivals are between 2pm – 5pm. If you plan to arrive later than this please discuss with us beforehand. Dogs are welcome on our touring/camping pitches but not in caravans for hire. Mobile telephone reception is good at most points on the park. We have tried to give as much information as possible, but if there is anything that has not been covered in this statement please do not hesitate to contact us.
